One of the reasons we started this blog was to document recipes we loved sharing together as a family, with the hopes that once our kids they grew up, they would be able to share those memorable meals with their own children. This recipe, although super simple, is one I hope they will be excited to pass along to their posterity. Every year, we make it together at the start of fall, when we bring our fall decorations out of storage. Every year, the kids debate who should get to dump ingredients in and who should get to stir. Every year, we put it in the same small pumpkin dish to have on our kitchen counter. Every year, the Reese’s Pieces mysteriously disappear faster than the seeds and nuts. And every year, I don’t even mind, because it has become part of the tradition.
- ¾ cup toasted chopped walnuts
- ½ cup shelled toasted and salted pumpkin seeds
- ½ cup toasted sunflower seeds
- ½ cup roasted coconut chips (I like to use maple roasted)
- ¾ cup Reese’s pieces
- Stir all ingredients together until well combined and enjoy. Store at room temperature.
