Brazilian lemonade (which actually isn’t lemonade at all) has been making the rounds on the internet for many years, and we have been making it for about that long. Coconut and limes are a perfect pair, so it is no surprise this variation is a creamy, rich, and refreshing take. This would also make for a delicious tropical-like smoothie if blended up with some ice, so feel free to experiment!
Coconut Brazilian Lemonade
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 cups cold water
- 4 limes
- 6 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- 1 14-oz can coconut milk
Instructions
- Stir together the sugar and water until sugar is dissolved. Chill until ready to use.
- Wash limes well with soap to remove wax and any pesticides. Cut off ends, then quarter. In a large blender, add limes and chilled sugar water. Pulse blender about 6 times. Strain through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, pushing down on the pulp to extract as much remaining juice as possible. Discard remaining pulp. Add the coconut milk and sweetened condensed milk to the picture, stirring to combing. Serve immediately with ice.
